Description
This collection was written for organists who regularly perform on small instruments, and was inspired by the charming versets and canzonas found in Domenico Zipoli’s Sonate d’Intavolatur per Organo e Cimbalo (1716).
These pieces will best be served by simple registrations, using as a model instruments of the Italian Baroque. In the absence of pedals, pull-down or otherwise, use a pencil, keyweight, or assistant for movements requiring a pedal point.
